Darnell Billups, PhD

Darnell Billups is the Vice President of People and Culture (Safety and Workforce Development) at CPG Beyond, North America's only complete data center service provider.  Here, he leads a team of 15 supporting hundreds of employees across multiple regions. His focus is on a best in class safety culture, a scalable workforce development engine, and executive leadership development. Previously, he worked as the HR Director for a Fortune 500 company, where he cultivated organizational change by leading people, strategy, and operations in support of over 2000+ manufacturing employees. He has also held director-level positions in state government prior to moving to the private sector. 

Darnell joined the Marine Corps after graduating from the United States Naval Academy with the class of 2009. He served for 6 years in multiple locations across the US and completed 2 deployments to Afghanistan. Darnell completed his doctoral studies in Organizational Leadership in 2024 from Hood College focusing on workforce retention in manufacturing. He consults, coaches, researches and speaks on the topics of employee experience, engagement, and retention.
